Public Schedule

This calendar is managed personally by me and is not an official City of Port Angeles calendar. It reflects how I organize and manage my responsibilities as a City Councilmember. I maintain it as accurately as possible, but some items may not appear if they were not added to my personal schedule. Times listed are approximate and subject to change, and I may not attend every meeting or event shown.

Please note:

  • Executive sessions and other confidential matters are typically not included.

  • Meetings subject to the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA), including City Council meetings, are officially noticed on the City’s website: https://www.cityofpa.us/583/Meetings-Agendas. This calendar does not replace or substitute for official notice.

  • Inclusion of meetings with external partners or organizations does not imply City endorsement of any organization, policy, or activity.

This calendar is intended to provide transparency into my public duties and commitments while respecting privacy, operational considerations, and legal requirements.

Schedule Categories Explained

1. Public Meeting
Formal meetings that are open to everyone and held in compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA). These include City Council meetings, noticed public hearings, and other official meetings where deliberation or action may occur.

2. Public Community Event (Informal)
Events that are open to the public but are not structured meetings. These are typically open houses, drop-in events, site visits, or community gatherings with no formal agenda, deliberation, or decision-making.

3. Partner or Stakeholder Meeting (Not Public)
Meetings hosted by external organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, nonprofits, regional partners, or business groups. Attendance is in your role as a City representative or liaison. These meetings are not public meetings because they are organized by outside entities.

4. Staff / Administrative Meeting (Not Public)
Internal City meetings focused on operations, coordination, briefings, or routine administration. These meetings are not public and do not involve public deliberation.

5. Constituent Meeting (Individual; Not Public)
One-on-one or small-group meetings with individual residents. These meetings are not open to the public to protect personal privacy and allow constituents to speak freely about their concerns.

6. Elected Officials / Interjurisdictional Meeting (Non-OPMA; Not Public)
Meeting with elected officials from your City Council or from neighboring cities, counties, or regional agencies to discuss City or regional initiatives, coordination, or shared policy priorities. These meetings are not open to the public and are not subject to the Open Public Meetings Act.

7. Personal Council Work (Non-Meeting)
Time set aside to handle personal Council responsibilities that do not involve a meeting. Includes reviewing agendas, preparing or reviewing paperwork, responding to emails and phone calls, conducting research, and other administrative or constituent follow-up tasks. This work is performed individually and is not open to the public.
